Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) say in the Farewell Pilgrimage sermon: Allah Almighty has given every rightful person his due, therefore there is no bequest for an heir. The child will belong to the owner of the bed, and for the adulterer there are stones, and their reckoning is upon Allah. Whoever attributes himself to anyone other than his father or to other than his masters, upon him is the curse of Allah, which will follow him until the Day of Resurrection. No woman should spend anything from her house without her husband's permission. Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Not even food?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "That is our best wealth." Then he said: A borrowed item should be returned, a gift should be reciprocated, a debt should be repaid, and the debtor is responsible.
