Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, during extremely hot weather, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) was going somewhere when the strap of his sandal broke on the way. A man brought another strap and began to put it in the sandal of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said to him: "If you knew how much burden you have placed upon the Messenger of Allah, it would not be as great as what you have placed upon the Messenger of Allah."
