حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَمَّارٍ شَدَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو أُمَامَةَ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْهُ عَلَيَّ، فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ (١) : إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْهُ عَلَيَّ، فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْهُ عَلَيَّ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ، وَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْهُ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ: " هَلْ تَوَضَّأْتَ حِينَ أَقْبَلْتَ؟ "، ، قَالَ: نَعَمْ. فَقَالَ: " هَلْ صَلَّيْتَ مَعَنَا حِينَ صَلَّيْنَا؟ " قَالَ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: " اذْهَبْ فَإِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ عَفَا عَنْكَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting in the gathering of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) when a man came and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I have committed a sin, so punish me according to the Book of Allah." In the meantime, the prayer was established, and the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) led us in prayer. After finishing, when he was about to leave, that man also followed behind, and I too followed him. He repeated his statement. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Is it not so?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Then Allah has forgiven your sin."
