حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: لَوْ لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا سَبْعَ مِرَارٍ مَا حَدَّثْتُ بِهِ قَالَ: " إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ الرَّجُلُ كَمَا أُمِرَ ذَهَبَ الْإِثْمُ مِنْ سَمْعِهِ وَبَصَرِهِ وَيَدَيْهِ وَرِجْلَيْهِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that if I had not heard this hadith from the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) at least seven times, I would never have narrated it. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When a person performs ablution according to the prescribed manner, sins depart from his ears, eyes, hands, and feet.
