حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " أَرْبَعَةٌ تَجْرِي عَلَيْهِمْ أُجُورُهُمْ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ: مُرَابِطٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، وَمَنْ عَمِلَ عَمَلًا أُجْرِيَ لَهُ مِثْلُ مَا عَمِلَ، وَرَجُلٌ تَصَدَّقَ بِصَدَقَةٍ فَأَجْرُهَا لَهُ مَا جَرَتْ، وَرَجُلٌ تَرَكَ وَلَدًا صَالِحًا فَهُوَ يَدْعُو لَهُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Four types of people continue to receive reward even after their death: (1) The one who guards the Islamic borders in the way of Allah, (2) The one who performs a good deed whose effect continues, (3) The person who gives ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah), (4) The person who leaves behind righteous children who pray for him.
