Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، أَخْبَرَنِي حُسَيْنٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ وَاقِدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو غَالِبٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْإِمَامُ ضَامِنٌ وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The imam is responsible and the muezzin is trustworthy.
