حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا النَّجَاةُ؟ قَالَ: " أَمْلِكْ عَلَيْكَ لِسَانَكَ، وَلْيَسَعْكَ بَيْتُكَ، وَابْكِ عَلَى خَطِيئَتِكَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How will a believer attain salvation?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Uqbah! Guard your tongue, let your house suffice for you, and weep over your sins."
