حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَشَّاءِ (١) وَهُوَ لَقِيطُ بْنُ الْمَشَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَتَحَوَّلَ خِيَارُ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ إِلَى الشَّامِ، وَيَتَحَوَّلَ شِرَارَ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ إِلَى الْعِرَاقِ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " عَلَيْكُمْ بِالشَّامِ " (٢)، ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: أَبُو الْمُشَاءِ يُقَالُ لَهُ: لَقِيطٌ، وَيَقُولُونَ ابْنُ الْمُشَاءِ، وَأَبُو الْمُشَاءِ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Day of Judgment will not be established until the best people of Iraq move to Sham and the worst people of Sham move to Iraq, and the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: "You must hold fast to Sham."
