Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of Arafah, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) seated him behind himself on his mount. People began to say, "Our companion will inform us of what the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) did." Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that when the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) departed after standing at Arafat, he pulled the head of his mount so much that it touched, or nearly touched, the middle part of the saddle, and the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) began to gesture to the people to remain calm, until they reached Muzdalifah. Then Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) was made to sit behind him. People began to say, "Our companion will inform us of what the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) did." Accordingly, he reported that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) continued to move slowly as he had the previous day, except that when he reached the valley of Muhassir, he quickened his pace until he had passed through it.
