Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي الْفُرَاتِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " صَلَّى نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، بِالنَّاسِ يَوْمَ فِطْرٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِغَيْرِ أَذَانٍ وَلا إِقَامَةٍ، (١) ثُمَّ خَطَبَ بَعْدَ الصَّلاةِ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِيَدِ بِلالٍ، فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى النِّسَاءِ فَخَطَبَهُنَّ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِلالًا بَعْدَ مَا قَفَّى مِنْ عِنْدِهِنَّ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُنَّ فَيَأْمُرَهُنَّ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقْنَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) offered the Eid prayer with two rak'ahs, in which he did not recite anything except Ummul-Kitab (al-Fatihah); he did not add anything to it.
