Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ: "أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَعَلَ الرُّقْبَى لِلَّذِي أُرْقِبَهَا، وَالْعُمْرَى لِلَّذِي أُعْمِرَهَا " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) declared "Umari" and "Ruqba" (a property handed over to someone for a lifetime) as the right of the heir.
