حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنِ الرُّكَيْنِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "إِنِّي تَارِكٌ فِيكُمْ خَلِيفَتَيْنِ: كِتَابُ اللهِ، حَبْلٌ مَمْدُودٌ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ، أَوْ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ، وَعِتْرَتِي أَهْلُ بَيْتِي، وَإِنَّهُمَا لَنْ يَتَفَرَّقَا حَتَّى يَرِدَا عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: I am leaving among you two deputies, one is the Book of Allah, which is a rope hanging between the sky and the earth, and the other is my Ahl al-Bayt. And these two things will never be separated until they come to me at the Pond of Kawthar.
