حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيٌّ، حَدَّثَنَا وَاصِلٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ، وَكَانَ وَاصِلٌ، رُبَّمَا ذَكَرَ أَبَا الْأَسْوَدِ الدِّيلِيَّ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ أَعْمَالُ، ، أُمَّتِي حَسَنُهَا وَسَيِّئُهَا، فَوَجَدْتُ فِي مَحَاسِنِ أَعْمَالِهَا الْأَذَى يُمَاطُ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ، وَوَجَدْتُ فِي مَسَاوِئِ أَعْمَالِهَا النُّخَاعَةَ تَكُونُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَا تُدْفَنُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The good and bad deeds of my Ummah were presented before me. Among the list of good deeds, I saw the removal of a harmful thing from the road, and among the list of bad deeds, I saw spitting inside the mosque without mixing it into the soil.
