حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، وَشَرِيكٌ، وَحَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، (٢) عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ: " أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ، قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ: عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era, the Prophet (ﷺ) came to know that a man had committed suicide. Upon hearing this, the Prophet (ﷺ) did not lead his funeral prayer.
