(حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ بِ وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ وَنَحْوَهُمَا مِنَ السُّورِ " ٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite "By the sky, having constellations" (Al-Buruj), "By the sky and the night-comer" (At-Tariq), and similar surahs in the Zuhr and Asr prayers.
