حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَي بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، (٣) عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي سِمَاكٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَرْبٍ،، ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا صَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ، جَلَسَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ حَسْنَاءَ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that after offering the Fajr prayer, the Prophet (ﷺ) used to remain seated until sunrise, and in the Fajr prayer he would recite Surahs like Surah Qaf, and he would lead a short prayer.
