حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ثَوْرِ بْنِ عِكْرِمَةَ،، ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ وَهُوَ جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ فَقَالَ: " لَا تُصَلِّ "، وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ فَقَالَ: " صَلِّ "، وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ، فَقَالَ: " يُتَوَضَّأْ مِنْهُ " (١) ، وَسُئِلَ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ، فَقَالَ: " إِنْ شِئْتَ تَوَضَّأْ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ لَا تَوَضَّأْ (٢) " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Prophet (ﷺ): "Should I perform ablution after eating goat meat?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied: "If you wish, you may do so, or you may not." He asked: "Can I pray in sheepfolds?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Yes." The questioner asked: "Should I perform new ablution after eating camel meat?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Yes." He asked: "Can I pray in camel enclosures?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "No."
