حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: " مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَطُّ، إِلَّا وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ، فَمَنْ حَدَّثَكَ أَنَّهُ رَآهُ يَخْطُبُ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ، فَقَدْ كَذَبَ "، ، قَالَ: وَقَالَ سِمَاكٌ: قَالَ جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ: " كَانَتْ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَخُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا "، وقَالَ جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ، ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) delivering the sermon while standing. Therefore, if anyone among you says that he saw the Prophet (ﷺ) delivering the sermon while sitting, he is speaking falsely. Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet’s (ﷺ) sermon and prayer were moderate. Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet (ﷺ) would deliver two sermons: first, he would deliver one sermon and then sit down, then stand up and deliver the second sermon.
