حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ رِئَابٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مَنْ بَنِي أُقَيْشٍ، قَالَ: مَعَهُ كِتَابُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " صِيَامُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ يُذْهِبْنَ (١) وَحَرَ الصَّدْرِ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from a man of Banu Aqeesh, who also had a letter from the Prophet (peace be upon him), that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Fasting three days every month keeps malice away from the chest.
