Musnad Ahmad Hadith 20739

Abu Qatadah and Abu Dhamma, who used to travel frequently to this place, say: We reached a Bedouin man who told us that once the Prophet (ﷺ) took my hand and began to teach me those things which Allah had taught him, and said: Whatever you leave out of fear of Allah, Allah will grant you something better than it. Abu Alaa says: I was sitting with Mutarrif in the camel market when a Bedouin came; he had a piece of leather with him. He said: Does anyone among you know how to read? I said: Yes, and took that piece of leather from him. It was written on it: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. From Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, to Banu Zuhayrah bin Aqeesh, who are a tribe of 'Ukl. If they confirm that they acknowledge the share of the Prophet (ﷺ) and his selection in the spoils (ghanimah), then they are under the protection of Allah and His Messenger.
