English translation
It is narrated from Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) sent a detachment of the army to a certain direction and appointed Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) as their commander. During the journey, Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) did some new things, so four companions (may Allah be pleased with them) made a pact that they would definitely mention this matter to the Prophet (ﷺ). Our practice was that when we returned from a journey, we would first present ourselves before the Prophet (ﷺ) and greet him. Accordingly, this time too, those people came to the Prophet (ﷺ). After a short while, one of them stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Ali did such and such." The Prophet (ﷺ) turned away from him. Then the second, third, and fourth stood up one after the other and said the same, "O Messenger of Allah! Ali did such and such." The Prophet (ﷺ) turned towards the fourth man, and by that time the color of the blessed face of the Prophet (ﷺ) had changed, and he said three times, "Leave Ali alone. Ali is from me and I am from Ali, and he is the beloved of every believer after me."
