حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: مَرِضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ " فَذَكَرَهُ (١)،

Translation

English translation

Abu Sa'id, the freedman of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, he said: Zaidah narrated to us, he said: Abdul Malik, meaning Ibn Umair, narrated to us, from Abu Burdah ibn Abi Musa, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, became ill, so he said: "Instruct Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." And he mentioned it.
