Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: مَرَّتْ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جِنَازَةٌ تُمْخَضُ مَخْضَ، ، الزِّقِّ قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " عَلَيْكُمُ الْقَصْدَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once some people passed quickly with a funeral in front of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Make calmness obligatory upon yourselves.
