Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ زَهْدَمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى أَنَّهُ " جَاءَ رَجُلٌ وَهُوَ يَأْكُلُ دَجَاجًا فَتَنَحَّى، ، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي حَلَفْتُ أَنْ لَا آكُلَهُ؛ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُهُ يَأْكُلُ شَيْئًا قَذِرًا. فَقَالَ: ادْنُهُ. فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْكُلُهُ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to him while he was eating chicken. That man sat to one side and said, "I have taken an oath that I will not eat it because I see chickens eating filth." He (Abu Musa) said, "Come closer, for I have seen the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) eating it."
