حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ (١) عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " تُسْتَأْمَرُ الْيَتِيمَةُ فِي نَفْسِهَا، فَإِنْ سَكَتَتْ فَقَدْ أَذِنَتْ، وَإِنْ أَبَتْ لَمْ تُكْرَهْ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The permission of a mature girl will be sought for her marriage; if she remains silent, it is as if she has given permission, and if she refuses, she should not be forced into that relationship.
