Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْحَرِيرُ وَالذَّهَبُ حَرَامٌ عَلَى ذُكُورِ أُمَّتِي، وَحِلٌّ (١) لِإِنَاثِهِمْ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) once said: "Gold and silk are both permissible for the women of my Ummah and forbidden for the men."
