Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَبَهْزٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَدِيٍّ، قَالَ بَهْزٌ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ: سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ، وَابْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى قَالَا: أَصَابُوا حُمُرًا يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ، فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَنْ يُكْفِئُوا الْقُدُورَ " وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ، عَنْ عَدِيٍّ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، وَابْنِ أَبِي أوْفَى (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the occasion of the Battle of Khaybar, some donkeys came into our possession, so the announcer of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) proclaimed: "Turn over the pots."
