حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الشَّجَرَةِ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أُتِيَ بِصَدَقَةٍ قَالَ: " اللهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ "، وَإِنَّ أَبِي أَتَاهُ بِصَدَقَتِهِ، فَقَالَ: " اللهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى آلِ أَبِي أَوْفَى " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that when someone would bring the zakat of his wealth to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) would supplicate for him. One day, I also brought the zakat of my father's wealth, so the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "O Allah, send blessings upon the family of Abu Awfa."
