Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission to enter the blessed house of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). At that time, a slave girl was playing the duff. Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) was granted permission and entered. Then Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came, sought permission, and entered. Then Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) came and sought permission; at that, she became silent. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Uthman is a very modest man."
