حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: لَقِيَنِي عَمِّي وَمَعَهُ رَايَةٌ، فَقُلْتُ: أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ؟ فَقَالَ: " بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، إِلَى رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةَ أَبِيهِ، فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَقْتُلَهُ (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day I met my uncle Harith bin Amr. He had a flag with him. I asked him, "Where are you going?" He replied, "The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) has sent us to a man who, after his father's death, has married his father's wife (stepmother), and he has ordered me to behead him."
