حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، مَوْلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ: بَعَثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ إِلَى الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ أَسْأَلُهُ: عَنْ رَايَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا كَانَتْ؟ قَالَ: " كَانَتْ سَوْدَاءَ مُرَبَّعَةً مِنْ نَمِرَةٍ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

Yunus bin Ubaid, may Allah have mercy on him, says that my master Muhammad bin Qasim, may Allah have mercy on him, sent me to ask Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) what was the flag of the Prophet (ﷺ) like? He replied: It was a black, square flag made from the skin of a leopard.
