حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ، يَقُولُ عَلَى مِنْبَرِ الْكُوفَةِ: " وَاللهِ مَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَوْ قَالَ نَبِيُّكُمْ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ، يَشْبَعُ مِنَ الدَّقَلِ (١) ، وَمَا تَرْضَوْنَ دُونَ أَلْوَانِ التَّمْرِ، وَالزُّبْدِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Simak bin Harb (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I heard Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) saying this from the pulpit of Kufa: By Allah! The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) never filled his stomach with inferior dates for even a month, and you people are not satisfied unless you are given the varieties of dates and butter.
