Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) went out to relieve himself. After a short while, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) returned, and I brought water to serve the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and kept pouring water. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) first washed both hands thoroughly, then washed his face. After that, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) began to roll up his sleeves from his arms, but the Syrian cloak that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) was wearing had tight sleeves, so they could not be rolled up. Therefore, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) took both hands out from underneath and, after washing them, wiped over the leather socks.
