حَدَّثَنَا هَوْذَةُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، أَنَّ أُسَيْدَ بْنَ حُضَيْرِ بْنِ سِمَاكٍ، حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ كَتَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِلَى مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ إِذَا سُرِقَ الرَّجُلُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Narrated to us by Hawdhah ibn Khalifah, narrated to us by Ibn Jurayj, he said: Ikrimah ibn Khalid narrated to me, that Usayd ibn Hudayr ibn Simak narrated to him, he said: Muawiyah wrote to Marwan ibn al-Hakam regarding when a man steals, then he mentioned the hadith.
