حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ الثَّقَفِيِّ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ حَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ (١)،
Translation
English translation
‘Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from Sa‘id al-Jurayri, from Yazid ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Shikhkhir, from ‘Uthman ibn Abi al-‘As al-Thaqafi, who said: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, the state of the shaytan—” and he mentioned its meaning.
