حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرِ الضَّبِّيِّ (٢) ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " الصَّدَقَةُ عَلَى الْمِسْكِينِ صَدَقَةٌ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ (٣) عَلَى ذِي الرَّحِمِ اثْنَتَانِ صَدَقَةٌ، وَصِلَةٌ " (٤)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: Giving charity to a poor person has a single reward, and giving charity to close relatives has a double reward—one for charity and the other for maintaining family ties.
