حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، عَنِ الرَّبَابِ، عَنْ عَمِّهَا (٣) سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لِيُفْطِرْ يَعْنِي أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى تَمْرٍ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى مَاءٍ فَإِنَّهُ طَهُورٌ، مَعَ الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتةٌ (٤) فَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى أَرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا، وَالصَّدَقَةُ عَلَى ذِي الْقَرَابَةِ ثِنْتَانِ: صَدَقَةٌ وَصِلَةٌ، (٥)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Salman bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: When any one of you breaks his fast, he should break it with dates; if he does not find dates, then he should break it with water, for water is purifying. Perform 'aqiqah on the birth of a boy; remove impurities and sacrifice an animal on his behalf. Giving charity to close relatives brings double reward: one for charity and the other for maintaining family ties.
