حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو السَّمْحِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قَبِيلٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ، يَقُولُ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي اثْنَتَيْنِ: الْقُرْآنَ وَاللَّبَنَ، أَمَّا اللَّبَنُ فَيَبْتَغُونَ (٢) الرِّيفَ وَيَتَّبِعُونَ الشَّهَوَاتِ وَيَتْرُكُونَ الصَّلَوَاتِ، وَأَمَّا الْقُرْآنُ فَيَتَعَلَّمُهُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ فَيُجَادِلُونَ بِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: "I fear for my Ummah regarding the Book and milk." Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), what is meant by the Book and the other danger?" He replied, "The hypocrites will learn it and will argue with the believers, and they will love milk and because of it they will leave the congregation and will abandon the Friday prayers."
