حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ يَوْمًا، فَصَلَّى عَلَى أَهْلِ أُحُدٍ صَلَاتَهُ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الْمِنْبَرِفَقَالَ: " إِنِّي فَرَطٌ لَكُمْ، وَأَنَا شَهِيدٌ عَلَيْكُمْ، وَإِنِّي وَاللهِ لَأَنْظُرُ إِلَى حَوْضِي الْآنَ، وَإِنِّي قَدْ أُعْطِيتُ مَفَاتِيحَ خَزَائِنِ الْأَرْضِ، وَإِنِّي وَاللهِ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ تُشْرِكُوا بَعْدِي، وَلَكِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ تَنَافَسُوا فِيهَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) went out and reached the graves of the people of Uhud and offered the funeral prayer for them. Then he returned and ascended the pulpit and said: I will await you and I will bear witness for you. By Allah, I am seeing my pond even now. Remember! I have been given the keys to the treasures of the earth. By Allah! I do not fear that after me you will commit shirk, but I fear that you will become engrossed in the world and compete with one another for it.
