حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْأَزْرَقِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " غَيْرَتَانِ: إِحْدَاهُمَا يُحِبُّهَا اللهُ، وَالْأُخْرَى يُبْغِضُهَا اللهُ، وَمَخِيلَتَانِ: إِحْدَاهُمَا يُحِبُّهَا اللهُ، وَالْأُخْرَى يُبْغِضُهَا اللهُ، الْغَيْرَةُ فِي الرِّيبَةِ (٣) يُحِبُّهَا اللهُ، وَالْغَيْرَةُ فِي غَيْرِهِ (٤) يُبْغِضُهَا اللهُ، وَالْمَخِيلَةُ إِذَا تَصَدَّقَ، ، الرَّجُلُ يُحِبُّهَا اللهُ، وَالْمَخِيلَةُ فِي الْكِبْرِ يُبْغِضُهَا اللهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: There are two types of jealousy, one of which Allah likes and the other He dislikes, and there are also two types of pride, one of which Allah likes and the other He dislikes. Jealousy at the time of doubt is liked by Allah, but jealousy in matters other than Allah is disliked by Allah. The pride of a person who gives charity is liked by Allah, and the pride of arrogance is disliked by Allah.
