حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّجَاشِيِّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ، قَالَ: " كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْعَصْرِ، ثُمَّ نَنْحَرُ الْجَزُورَ، فَتُقْسَمُ عَشَرَ قَسْمٍ، ثُمَّ تُطْبَخُ، فَنَأْكُلُ لَحْمًا نَضِيجًا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ "، قَالَ: " وَكُنَّا نُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَيَنْصَرِفُ أَحَدُنَا وَإِنَّهُ لَيَنْظُرُ إِلَى مَوَاقِعِ نَبْلِهِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that we used to perform the Asr prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ), then slaughter a camel, divide it into ten parts, then cook it, and before the sun would set, we would eat the cooked meat. And during the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), we used to perform the Maghrib prayer at such a time that when we returned after offering the prayer, we could still see the place where our arrows had fallen.
