حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ، فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ عَادَ، فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ عَادَ، فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ عَادَ، فَاقْتُلُوهُ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever drinks alcohol, flog him. If he drinks again, flog him again. If he drinks a third time, flog him again. If he drinks a fourth time, then kill him."
