حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ ابْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ يَقُولُ: اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، قَالَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِ، وَإِذَا قَالَ:، ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، قَالَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِ، وَإِذَا قَالَ: أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ، قَالَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that when he (peace be upon him) heard the call of the muezzin, he would repeat the same phrases that he was saying.
