قَالَ: أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ: لَقِيتُ سُفْيَانَ بِمَكَّةَ، فَأَوَّلُ مَنْ سَأَلَنِي عَنْهُ، قَالَ: " كَيْفَ شُجَاعٌ؟ " يَعْنِي أَبَا بَدْرٍ (٢)،

Translation

English translation

Abu Nu"aim said.

I met Sufyan in Makkah, and the first one he asked me about was when he said: How is Shuja" (the brave one}? - meaning Abu Badr.
