English translation

It is narrated from Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Allah revealed His command regarding poetry, he came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "Allah has revealed things about poetry which I have already done. Now what is your opinion about this?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "A Muslim strives with both his sword and his tongue."
