Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّمَا نَسَمَةُ الْمُسْلِمِ طَيْرٌ يَعْلُقُ بِشَجَرِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى يُرْجِعَهُ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى إِلَى جَسَدِهِ يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The soul of a Muslim remains in the form of birds on the trees of Paradise until the Day of Resurrection when Allah will return it to its body.
