حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " صَلُّوا عَلَى أَخٍ لَكُمْ مَاتَ بِغَيْرِ أَرْضِكُمْ ". قَالُوا: مَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " النَّجَاشِيُّ صْحَمَةُ "، ، قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ: فَصَفَفْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ. كُنْتُ فِي الصَّفِّ الثَّالِثِ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said one day: "Offer the funeral prayer for your brother who has passed away in another city." The companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Who?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Najashi As-hamah." I asked: "Then what happened?" He said: "You formed rows?" He replied: "Yes, and I was in the third row."
