Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، وَمُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنِ الرُّقْيَةِ، فَقَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي خَالِي أَحَدُ الْأَنْصَارِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَرْقِي مِنَ الْعَقْرَبِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَنْفَعَ أَخَاهُ بِشَيْءٍ، فَلْيَفْعَلْ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that an Ansari came to the service of the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Can I treat a scorpion sting through incantation (ruqyah)?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever can benefit his brother should do so."
