حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَجْلَحَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، ، ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعَائِشَةَ: " أَهَدَيْتُمُ الْجَارِيَةَ إِلَى بَيْتِهَا؟ " قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: " فَهَلَّا بَعَثْتُمْ مَعَهُمْ (١) مَنْ يُغَنِّيهِمْ يَقُولُ: أَتَيْنَاكُمْ أَتَيْنَاكُمْ فَحَيُّونَا نُحَيَّاكُمْ (٢) فَإِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ قَوْمٌ فِيهِمْ غَزَلٌ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) asked Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): "Did you hand over the slave-girl to her family?" She replied: "Yes." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Why did you not send someone who sings along with her, singing: 'We have come to you, we have come to you, so welcome us and we will welcome you,' for this is the custom among the Ansar."
