حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ، قَالَ: تَزَوَّجْتُ، فَقَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَا تَزَوَّجْتَ؟ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: تَزَوَّجْتُ ثَيِّبًا، فَقَالَ: " مَا لَكَ، وَلِلْعَذَارَى، وَلِعَابِهَا "، ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِعَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَفَهَلَّا جَارِيَةً تُلَاعِبُهَا، وَتُلَاعِبُكَ ". حَدَّثَنَاهُمَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ يَعْنِي شَاذَانَ الْمَعْنَى (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I got married. Once the Prophet (ﷺ) asked me, "Whom did you marry?" I replied, "A previously married woman." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Why did you not marry a virgin so that you could play with each other?" It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Why did you not marry a virgin so that you could play with her and she could play with you?" The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
